ENGLISH LANGUAGE CHALLENGES

This will be the last blog I'll write. In this opportunity I' will talk about the experience of learning English at university. Maybe in the life wants things to go their best and on this occasion I think that the English course could be better than it was.

I spent three semesters attending the different levels of English whit differents teachers and I think there are many things to improve. As for example having more moments to practice reading, listeninig with audios of native speakers, as they deliver or remember grammatical forms. Because in the final exam of each level, these contents are evaluated without practicing it enough. Just in the last level the teacher went through different grammatical forms that are useful for writing and to speak better in English, but I don't even remember what we did in the other levels.

I think that the use of blogs could be a good tool if teachers could review them and correct what we are writing, because we don't know if we do it right or wrong until the end of the semester and only review a two of written texts. Also the interaction with the other students through the comments isn't the best. Maybe a solution is for teachers to review what we write, but this would be a lot of work for them.

Personally I think one of the aspects that I need to improve is to expand my vocabulary, because when I'm trying to speak in English I can't find the precise words of what I want to say because I don't know them, besides trying not to shame as I speak and have more personality. Another point to improve would be to have more clarity in the use of connectors.

Lately with my colleagues we try to speak English at certain times of the day, and we have fun while we do it, but we can't maintain a very fluid conversation because sometimes we don't know how to say certain words in English, but at least we try.
